Singing Lessons with Fiona

Let's make singing simple & fun!

Fiona runs Musical Theatre singing lessons from her home just outside of Edinburgh in Calderwood, EH53. Fiona is currently training to become the 2nd Vocal Balance teacher in the whole of Scotland. More about this wonderful technique to follow.

Whether you are a child, adult, student, a professional or have never had a lesson in your life as long as you have a passion for singing Fiona would love to work with you and show you some amazing things your voice can do.

Lessons work through warm up exercises to strengthen the voice, repertoire and cool downs.

Why train with Fiona?

Fiona has been singing since she joined her first choir at the age of 8. She went on to attend the junior Royal Conservatoire of Scotland to study singing as a teenager before completing a Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Glasgow and a Masters in Music Theatre at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London.

Fiona then worked professionally as a performer for 10 years in London. She worked on cruise ships, in pantomimes, a music video as well as touring shows and musicals.

Fiona is currently undergoing a singing teachers training course in the technique Vocal Balance. This technique allows Fiona to offer you lessons that are simple, uncluttered and achieve results much quicker.

'The Vocal Balance Technique produces voices that are strong, flexible, free and healthy, allowing you to sing for long periods of time without fatigue or strain. It is based on the Italian idea of “Bel Canto” or Beautiful Singing. It’s a blend of ideas, techniques and practices, evolved over many years, which have achieved some quite simply amazing results!' https://www.vocalbalance.co.uk
